This is a request for your nominee(s) for the Chamber’s prestigious annual awards to be presented at our annual banquet on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Stroudsmoor Country Inn.

Chamber members may nominate more than one individual in a category. Feel free to duplicate the attached nomination forms.  (Click on the link below for Nomination Forms and Sponsorship Forms).

Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013

Nominations should be submitted to the Awards Committee at the Chamber’s address.

Following is a brief description of each award:

• Citizen of the Year - Nominees should be recognized leaders in our community. They are usually cited for volunteer work for the community and for the Pocono region.

• Businessperson of the Year - Nominees should be individuals who have started, developed, expanded or otherwise managed an operation in Monroe County. They should be cited for business accomplishments and contributions to the growth (human, natural or economic) of Monroe County.

• Humanitarian of the Year - Nominees are usually associated with the health and human services professions. They should merit recognition for their unselfish volunteer work and significant contributions to the residents of our community and beyond. 

• Athena Award - Nominees should demonstrate excellence in business or profession, exhibit initiative and creativity and demonstrate support of the goals of professional women.
